Anlässlich der Eröffnung unserer Ausstellung "Von Liebe und Krieg: Tamilische Geschichte(n) aus Indien und der Welt" laden wir an diesem Tag besonders Menschen mit tamilischen Wurzeln und ihre Freund*innen ein, die Kurator*innen zu treffen und mit ihnen gemeinsam die Ausstellung zu entdecken. Nach Grußworten und einer inhaltlichen Einführung werden Führungen in tamilischer, englischer und deutscher Sprache angeboten.

Die Große Sonderausstellung des Landes Baden-Württemberg zeigt die Geschichte und Gegenwart tamilischer Kultur. Über 80 Millionen Menschen in Indien, Sri Lanka und anderen Teilen der Welt identifizieren sich als Tamil*innen: Sie teilen dieselbe Sprache, das Tamil, die ihren Ursprung im Süden Indiens hat. Die Ausstellung versucht, ihre Geschichte und Geschichten auf vielfältige Weise erlebbar zu machen, indem unterschiedliche Menschen ihre Erzählungen über Kulturen und Identitäten von Tamil*innen teilen.

On the occasion of the opening of our exhibition "Of Love and War: Tamil (Hi-)Stories from India and the World" we invite people with Tamil roots and their friends to meet the curators and discover the exhibition together with them. After greetings and an introduction to the content, guided tours will be offered in Tamil, English and German.

The special exhibition of the state of Baden-Württemberg shows the history and present of Tamil culture. Over 80 million people in India, Sri Lanka and other parts of the world identify themselves as Tamil*s: They share the same language, Tamil, which originated in southern India. "Of Love and War" seeks to bring their history and stories to life in a variety of ways, with different people sharing their narratives about Tamil cultures and identities.
