Due to rearrangement the Oceania Department is closed at the moment.
Due to refurbishing of the foyer the whole museum is closed from 29 July to 1 October.


Concession

Concessions for schoolchildren, students, handicapped or unemployed people, welfare recipients, conscripts and alternative services personnel and owners of a Family Pass on presentation of a valid passport or identity card, as well as for groups of ten or more.

DGroups of schoolchildren from the ninth grade upwards pay € 1.00 per child and an accompanying adult (without guided tour).


Free Admission

Admission is free for members of the Gesellschaft für Erd- und Völkerkunde and holders of ICOM-card.

Free admission on Wednesday between 5 and 8 pm.

How to get there

The Linden-Museum is about a ten-minutes' walk away from Stuttgart's main station.

By bus:

From the main station you can also take bus no. 40 (to Vogelsang) and 42 (to Schreiberstraße); the bus stop is right in front of the Linden-Museum. For public transport timetables please check http://www2.vvs.de/vvs/ navi_efa/index.html

By car

From Stuttgart's main station please follow the signs to the Katharinenhospital, which is located on the right side of Kriegsbergstraße. Shortly after the Katharinenhospital, Kriegsbergstraße meets the Hegelplatz with the Linden-Museum on the right.

Parking facilities

The Linden-Museum has no parking facilities of its own, but there is underground parking very near the Katharinenhospital and the Liederhalle.

Accessibility for the handicapped

The Linden-Museum is accessible by wheelchair, as all public spaces and exhibitions can be reached by elevator. There is a special handicap access at Herdweg. Please call the entrance counter on the intercom or let us know of your visit in advance by calling 0711-2022-3. There is also a wheelchair-accessible restroom.
